Caoimhe Lillis

Caoimhe is a Programme Assistant and Facilitator Trainer here at Narrative 4. She initially trained as a facilitator in 2018 and has run story exchanges in her role as a Secondary School Science Teacher. Caoimhe believes in developing empathy, emotional intelligence and resilience in our students at a young age and has seen the story exchange programme achieve this in a practical and experiential way.

Richard Hannafin

Richard Hannafin works in the field of Art Education for the last 10 years. I am primarily based in a probation project in Limerick city where I teach young people from 15 – 25 years of age. I also work with a homeless charity in a social care capacity. He has facilitated Story Exchanges with N4 since 2017. One project called Boy’s Stories brough boys and men from Limerick’s regeneration areas together to tell stories about masculinity. ‘People are my power.’

Norma Lowney

Norma Lowney is a post-primary teacher, dramatherapist and theatre-maker based in Limerick. Norma is a PhD candidate at Mary Immaculate College, her interests include building a creative school community and creativity for wellbeing. Norma trained with Narrative 4 Ireland in 2018 and now works (when she finds the time) as a mentor, helping newly trained facilitators run their first Story Exchange.

Paula Coakley

Paula is a post-primary teacher of English, recently relocated from Limerick to Co. Kerry, She has been working on programmes in Narrative 4 for four years. Outside of school, she is a busy Mum and wife, who has an interest in broadcasting and singing. She says of Narrative 4, “it helps my students feel connected to each other and their wider community, and gives them a sense of shared experience and simply, being heard.”

Sheila Richardson

Sheila is an Artist, Visual Arts Lecturer and Art Psychotherapist based in Limerick. She is passionate about the power of the arts to facilitate individual and collective transformation.

She works with a diverse range of marginalised groups. She founded, with James Lawlor, the Girls Stories Project at N4 in 2017, a support group for young migrant women new to Limerick city.

Girls Stories

The Girls Stories project was founded in 2017, a lead on from project Art-iculate and is an integration project and afterschool meeting place for young adolescent migrant females new to Limerick city.
