About the Training

The Narrative 4 Empathy Education Facilitator training will give you the skills to effectively deliver empathy education units in your  school/youth group. All our programmes are based on circle-work activities.

You will be trained to deliver our main unit ‘The Story Exchange’ and be given access to an online toolkit with lesson plans. The 8 hour CPD (Certified Professional Development) training consists of 4 online modules.

On completion, you will be able to deliver the Story Exchanges and other shorter Empathy Education units in settings such as classrooms, youth centres, and online via Zoom.

Cost of Facilitator Training

The cost of the training is €450 but is generously subsidised by Rethink Ireland to the value of €300. Meaning you pay €150.

For Autumn/winter 2021/2022 – we are running a special REFER A COLLEAGUE Offer: The cost of the training will be reduced for POST PRIMARY SCHOOL EDUCATORS – (€150 €50) if a colleague in your school has completed the training. Offer closes 28th February 2022.

Facilitator Bursary

Throughout the year Narrative 4 Ireland offers a number of bursaries, providing recipients with reduced cost/free training. Apply using the Facilitator application form, but please indicate in the application if you intend to apply for a bursary.

For winter 2021 we have 10 bursaries on offer. Priority will be given to educators/ youth workers working with disadvantaged youth, Travellers/Mincéirs/Migrant youth. We also advertise offers of reduced price training for limited numbers on our social media when spaces are available.
